Notes suck. Sure, I'm not a jazz player, but still...music is all about notes,
right? Many musicians will tell you that melody and harmony are the basic structures of all music. When writing music, it's
important to know what to play, don't get me wrong, but it's definately more important to know how to play it. Each time I
pick up my bass, I try not to think less and less of what I'm playing, but how I play it. Any homo can string together some
notes and make some noise, but it takes a true musician to make those notes sound like music.
